 A Top Notch Facility
"I chose North Puget Cancer Center because of its convenience and reputation for being a top-notch facility. I was able to work almost full-time because of the flexibility of the staff -- I'd tell them when I could come and they'd fit me in, Bingo!"
Dan Peth Bow, WA Dan came to North Puget Cancer Center when he learned his prostate cancer, for which he'd been treated previously at Virginia Mason, had returned. His doctors in Seattle wanted him to come down daily for treatments but the commute would have been very disruptive, so Dan suggested North Puget Cancer Center (NPCC) at United General.
The Virginia Mason physicians agreed that NPCC was a good choice for Dan -- they told him the facility and staff was "top-notch" and would allow Dan to have his treatments close to home. The physicians at United General and Virginia Mason worked together on this treatment plan and stayed in touch about his progress. Today, Dan is cancer-free.
“When I found out that the cancer came back after the first surgery, it was not an appealing option to drive down to Seattle every day.” explains Dan. “And of course, having it in my own backyard made it much easier. I was able to work almost full-time because of the flexibility of the staff. I'd tell them when I could come and they'd fit me in, Bingo!”
Dan reports that the doctors and nurses at North Puget Cancer Center "made the best of a tough physical situation" for him.
"They were always so caring," Dan says.
