Strengthening Families Programs

Register for one of our 7-week programs at a location convenient for you. These programs include a free dinner at each session, and childcare for children 9 and younger.

The Incredible Years Facilitator Training

The Incredible Years evidence-based programs have been shown to reduce childhood conduct problems and strengthen social emotional learning, self-regulation, and problem solving skills. This training is designed to equip individuals to facilitate the group-based Incredible Years Preschool Basic Parent Program. Participants will learn how to navigate leading group therapy, guide parents in implementing program content, and use the program in a prevention setting. Youth Mental Health First Aid

Youth Mental Health First Aid is designed to teach parents, family members, caregivers, teachers, neighbors, school staff, health and human service professionals, and other caring citizens how to help an adolescent (age 12-18) who is facing a mental health or addiction challenge or is in crisis. Preschool Parenting Program – The Incredible Years

Caring for a preschooler is a wonderful and, at times, challenging experience. The Incredible Years® Program is series of 14 classes that gives parents the space and guidance to practice nurturing, coaching, and playing with their children to help them grow. With interactive lessons and honest discussions, trained Incredible Years® facilitators cover topics like child-directed play, positive discipline, and teaching children to problem solve. The evidence-based program is available at no cost to participants with childcare provided. Please register by March 9th if you would like to join us! Breastfeeding Classes

Held throughout the year, each single session is free to any pregnant WIC client and their partner/support person. The class covers: why breastfeeding is important, how to latch and position your baby, the benefits of skin-to-skin, how to know your baby is getting enough, calming a crying baby, hunger cues, and much more.

Dates: January 23, 2020; March 26, 2020; May 21, 2020. All classes run from 11am-12pm.

Cost: FREE for pregnant WIC clients!
