This is what Allison had to say about the free Question, Persuade, Refer Suicide Prevention Training that United General District 304 provided for their community:

“We trained over 200 people in our community, including all the students and teachers in our local high school, in March of 2024.  It was powerful to grow so much health.  A teacher reported using QPR with a student the week after the staff was trained in QPR.  Community members have said that they, too, have used QPR since learning it in March of 2024. 

QPR is so wonderful in its simplicity.  It’s easy to use once you’ve learned it and once you’ve gone through the training, it doesn’t feel as scary to help someone.  We are working with our school district to make QPR part of the health class so every student who graduates from our school district will have had the QPR training.”
