RFP: Tree Services

All bids must be submitted by email to admin@unitedgeneral.org by 1 pm on January 29, 2025

United General District 304 is seeking bids from Tree Service Companies to complete the following scope of work, as referenced in the Tree Risk Assessment report by Urban Forestry Services dated September 16, 2024:

  • Findings Section, Table 5. ISA Level 2 risk rating determinations summary (page 7). Remove trees rated as Moderate, High & Extreme, totaling 10 trees.
  • Mitigation Recommendations and Options section, 1.1.2 Pruning-5 trees (page 14). Prune trees referenced, totaling 4 trees. Tree #79 will be removed.
  • Mitigation Recommendations and Options section, 1.1.3 Removal or snag conversion-1 tree (page 14). Tree referenced should be removed.
  • Mitigation Recommendations and Options section, 3. Remove remaining live branch/stem-1 tree (page 17). Remove entire snag and branches.
  • Further assess all remaining trees that overhang the driveway, parking lot and two walking trails and, if necessary, make recommendations for further removal or pruning. These costs should be noted as separate line items for District review and approval.

All removal and pruning above (first four bullets) should be in accordance with recommendations noted in the Tree Risk Assessment Report from Urban Forestry Services.

Contract is expected to be awarded to the selected company by February 14, 2025.  Project work needs to be completed by April 1, 2025 (weather permitting).
