MS Teams Calling Device
We will be trading our standard phone system for an integrated MS Teams Calling system. Our traditional desktop phones will be replaced with MS Teams-compatible devices, and we are offering you a choice of options. Please read the pros and cons of each below before completing the form.

Pros:
- It’s with you most of the time so you’re less likely to miss a call.
- You can use earbuds or headphones just as you would listen to music.
- Allows you to make and receive calls with either your phone or computer.
- No need to give out your cell number for business calls. Calls to your office number will route directly to your phone.
- You can set “quiet times” for your phone so you don’t receive office calls when you don’t want to.
Cons:
- Teams Calling will use WiFi when available, but will use data over cellular when you’re not connected to WiFi. If you have a limited data plan, you may incur additional charges.
- You must have the MS Teams app on your smartphone.

Pros:
- The headset is Bluetooth-enabled and connected to your computer, so you have some range of mobility.
- This is a hands-free option.
- The headphones can help reduce external noise — great if you’re working in a shared office.
Cons:
- Outgoing calls must be initiated from MS Teams on your computer.
- You will need to put on headphones for incoming calls.
- Although this offers some range of mobility, you still have to be within Bluetooth range of your computer.

Pros:
- A comfortable, high-quality option for those who spend a lot of time on the phone.
- The headset is Bluetooth-enabled and connected to your computer, so you have some range of mobility.
- This is a hands-free option.
- Because this only covers one ear, you can choose to keep it on even when you’re not on a call.
Cons:
- Outgoing calls must be initiated from MS Teams on your computer.
- You will need to put on headphones for incoming calls.
- Although this offers some range of mobility, you still have to be within Bluetooth range of your computer.

Pros:
- Although there is a small learning curve, it is most similar to the desktop phone you have now.
- You can dial a number directly from the device without using your computer or smartphone.
Cons:
- It is a corded device so you can’t walk around with it.
- You have to be at your desk to answer incoming calls, although you can forward calls to a smartphone if you like.
- Of all the devices available, this is the most restrictive, requiring you to be at your desk.
