| What did you do during this volunteer session (3 sentences or less) | Once I arrive I help with snack prep, so I make sure the kids get cleaned up before I hand them their snack and water. After that it's usually free time or gym time for the kids, so if it's gym time we'll go the gym at the church and they'll play as I watch and make sure no one's hurt or feels left out, and if it's free time they'll usually stay in the classroom as they draw or play games. Towards the end, it's reading time, and the kids will read for thirty minutes, as a volunteer I help them with their reading abilities and then when they're done with that I help them with any homework they have that needs to get done. |
