My role in our community is to support the healing and advancement of a healthy, thriving community centered on our at-risk and underserved populations. PeaceHealth and United General District 304 are partners in so many ways. The beauty of the relationship is the ability of each organization to pick up where the other leaves off. It is a circular relationship in promoting personal and community health and treating each person in a loving and caring way.
We have worked together on several projects, including the Skagit Fruit and Veggie Rx program and Help Me Grow. PeaceHealth has been an annual sponsor of Trek for Treasure. In the future, we anticipate working with the Fitness Center on an Exercise Rx program.
If the District were not here, we would lose a critical resource. A whole host of providers would be left hanging without a viable alternative. I’m not even certain the void could be filled. I don’t see other organizations being able to devote the time and resources to make up for what we would lose from the District.
The work of United General District 304 is important. They are integral to our community and touch so many lives. There is a focus on children and mental health, two of the most critical aspects of a healthy community. The District team lives among us, plays with us and supports us to be the best self we can be.
