Walk

  • Join us for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) Out of the Darkness Community Walk on Saturday, September 21 in Whatcom County. Losing someone to suicide or struggling with a mental illness can feel like no one understands what you are going through. Friends, family members, neighbors and coworkers walk side-by-side, supporting each other and in memory of those we’ve lost. Community walks are journeys of remembrance that acknowledge how suicide and mental illness affects our lives and loved ones.
  • Out of the Darkness Walk donations support local chapters and national efforts. The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) is a voluntary health organization that gives those affected by suicide a nationwide community empowered by research, education, advocacy, and support to take action against this leading cause of death.
  • Whatcom County Walk fundraising goal: $18,000. Learn more about the walk here.
  • Team United General District 304 fundraising goal: Secure at least $100 for our first team walk. Donate here.
