Participants who complete the course will receive accreditation as a Youth Mental Health First Aider

Refund Policy:
Payment for Youth Mental Health First Aid classes is non-refundable. If you cannot attend the in-person class on your scheduled date, please contact us as soon as possible. You may be able to reschedule to a future class or transfer your spot to another person. 

Youth Mental Health First Aid teaches adults how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges in young people ages 13-18.

During the course you will learn:

  • The mechanics and how to apply the five-step ALGEE action plan for a compassionate response
  • Ways to interact with youth in crisis and non-crisis situations
  • Resources for emergencies and ongoing mental health support
  • Tools and techniques for self-care

As a participant, you will:

  • Complete 2 hours of self-study online
  • Attend an in-person instructor-led training
  • Participate during interactive lessons and practice important skills
  • Take a short quiz and earn certification as a Youth Mental Health First Aider
